Dave Ramsey for President!! lol.

This morning doing my part time job, I was listening to AM 890. Today was a different show, it was Dave Ramsey. I never listen to him really. Now, Nisi told me about him and I've listened to some of her CD's. He is definitely good at what he does. He's a financial guru, he helps people get out of debt. This morning was an interesting topic that I had to blog about. He disagrees with the governments stimulus package and a listener said if your complaining about it, can you come up with a better one. He did! He said his would be 95% less than the proposed one and simple. The economy is boosted by jobs and real estate. He suggests that companies who hire in the year 2009, should get a tax credit of 20 grand, if that happened companies would hire more and people who buy houses in 2009 get the same. It will stimulate jobs and when real estate does well then the economy does too. Anyhow so instead of the 900 billion dollar stimulus package, it would be 60 billion. That simple! I'm by no means a financial expert, it sounded good to me. He cant stand that the government says its for the people, he feels that each party seeks for power and they each have an agenda of their own. We, as the people, should write our representative. We're already in debt and this package will further put us in debt and not stimulate the economy. I agreed and it made me more knowledgeable about the subject, I had to blog about. I loved too, how the callers call in and say I am DEBBBBTT free! Amazing stories of people deep in debt and getting out within a year or so. It's great to hear their stories. It's been a long time....

Oh my it's been awhile since I've been on. Let's see what's the update...I would say my time has been occupied with Primary, Scouts and my kids. I got a new calling a few months back as 2nd counselor for our Primary and I'm over Scouts. I am training to be a Scout Leader and it's meetings after meetings. I now can say I can relate with Hiroko being a fish out of water. We took a break from Scouts last year and now we're getting involved again. The boys are enjoying it a lot and I'm slowly realizing the importance of Scouts in boy's lives. I'm learning a lot and enjoy the kids in our ward, they are so cute and the answers they give are at times funny and just so innocent. It's been a blessing and a humbling experience for me.

Samuela just had a Super Bowl game on Friday, flag football against the teachers. They lost by a touchdown, he said the teachers said it was over when they were ahead. He's really enjoyed Flag football this year in school. We're going to sign up for tackle this year, his teacher really encouraged me to get him involved in football, says he's good at it. His teacher, Mr. Whitmer has been so good for him this year. Samuela finished a Give Me Liberty course, first one in his class to complete it. He was so determined to memorize the booklet and wants to know more about politics. He loves to learn new things and his mind is always wanting to know more. He also turns 11 yrs old on the 9th and has his first Boy's scout campout in March. He's just growing up so fast and getting so tall! He loves Chess too, he's an avid chess player his goal to beat his Uncle Kolei. lol!

Seti is into his looks always wants to look hip and cool!!! Too funny. He loves to dance and sing. He's my shadow, always will be my baby. He's been into video editing on my camera. He's a creative little kid. It's getting on my nerves because I'm always looking for my camera. He loves basketball been playing with his friends at school, Grandpa's been going with him to teach him to play better tennis too. He loves math!!! He is such a people person. He just finished another book report and drew an alternative book cover. He's an American Idol fan so he's always making sure we're not missing the show. Gotta love it!!!

All in all we're doing good!

I'm backkkkk!!!

Crazy, I need to keep tabs with this page if I'm going to slurp after 1 year. Let's see Lousili Cadenas came down in August with her 2 cute kids, Mele and Fine. We hung out went swimming with Daniel & Heather and her family. They were in town vacationing at a condo. We went to Springdale, the city before you hit Zions National Park to see elks & buffalo and they had a bull at the farm too. Lil Mele loved the elk she wanted to keep feeding it when we were wanting to leave. It was hot! Then went to a petting farm at Virgin city, on our way back. Mele and Fine loved our Library's water park. They made me excited for Lil Tisa to come in December. Lee & Hilda treated me to Cafe Rio for the beginning of my Birthday week. My favorite is the Pork Tortilla salad, YUM!!!

Aug. 27th I turned the BIG 36!!! I still feel the same. I did notice laugh lines more around the eye area. I am 4yrs to 40!! Yikes. Where does the time go? I had a fun week. On my birthday, my cute neighbors made me a ham omelette breakfast, right after Kolei & Nisi brought over chocolate frosted donut and sang Happy Birthday to me. Kolei bought a beautiful necklace and they family bought me tennis shoes. My kids made me cards and got me Mary Kay eye makeup remover and eye gel, what I wanted. Amie helped them with the gift part. Thanks, Amie!!! Thursday, Kolei & Nisi, Salote & kids, Milika & kids we met up at the water park and had cupcakes and cake for my birthday!! yum. Friday, The girls took me out to Olive Garden, it was Theresa, Salote,Nisi & Sue. I love those girls!!! We had a good time. I gained 3 lbs that week!!! I'm on Weight Watchers, that's another blog all in itself.

What else? I'm Samuela's room mom, not by choice, because noone else signed up. I'm nervous about that. I've been room mom for my kids in pre-school. So it's been awhile. Our PTA had a room parent/teacher mingle, their so organized and gave us a folder with cute ideas and questions to ask the teacher. I have to say it's been fun. I googled room mom for help and asked Amie & Nisi of what they do for parties, I've gotten great ideas. Halloween is our 1st party! I've already gotten the decorations. I read with some students in the class today and I like it. My son enjoys me the there. I have 3 other moms willing to help me now, we'll see how it goes. I'm glad I'm doing it. Samuela goes to Intermediate school next year.

Fo Katoa's Homecoming

We went to Fo Katoa's missionary homecoming program yesterday. It was such a spiritual sacrament meeting. He gave such a humble and spiritual report, I just had to blog about it. He spoke of how hard it was at first. He learned to overcome pride and spoke of trusting in the Lord. The spirit was so strong and you can see he learned and progressed much on his mission. It brought back so many memories I've forgotten over the years. I thought back to my own mission and could relate when he would cry and say it was hard yet rewarding. I couldn't help but tear up throughout his whole talk. He said at the end of his talk he was grateful to be a part of their lives and was only a tool for God. I went to his farewell and not a guy with many words, just to see the change when they get back. He left as a young boy and came back a man that has seen and been through much in such a short time. It made me want to be a better person after hearing him speak and to ALWAYS trust in the Lord!!!

Another School Year

Samuela & Seti started school yesterday at East Elementary. I asked if they wanted me to go with them. They said No! lol. I went anyway to make sure they could find their classes and meet their new teachers. Samuela is now in 5th grade, his teacher is Mr. Whitmer. He like his teacher. They watched the Olympics in class today. Samuela says their school is friendly and no cliques, everyone is friend's with everyone. It's so nice to hear that. Seti is in 4th grade and he has Ms. Woosley & Mrs. Marshall. They both enjoyed their 1st day. Seti made fudge. His homework was to discuss his 1st day of school with me. I had to return in writing that we did for Bronco bucks for a store they have in their school. I prayed they would transition well to this school and they have. Whew!!! My neighbors and ward members love this school and there's a lot of parent participation too. We're happy to be in this area and everything is going smoothly. Yay!!!!
