Fo Katoa's Homecoming

We went to Fo Katoa's missionary homecoming program yesterday. It was such a spiritual sacrament meeting. He gave such a humble and spiritual report, I just had to blog about it. He spoke of how hard it was at first. He learned to overcome pride and spoke of trusting in the Lord. The spirit was so strong and you can see he learned and progressed much on his mission. It brought back so many memories I've forgotten over the years. I thought back to my own mission and could relate when he would cry and say it was hard yet rewarding. I couldn't help but tear up throughout his whole talk. He said at the end of his talk he was grateful to be a part of their lives and was only a tool for God. I went to his farewell and not a guy with many words, just to see the change when they get back. He left as a young boy and came back a man that has seen and been through much in such a short time. It made me want to be a better person after hearing him speak and to ALWAYS trust in the Lord!!!

Another School Year

Samuela & Seti started school yesterday at East Elementary. I asked if they wanted me to go with them. They said No! lol. I went anyway to make sure they could find their classes and meet their new teachers. Samuela is now in 5th grade, his teacher is Mr. Whitmer. He like his teacher. They watched the Olympics in class today. Samuela says their school is friendly and no cliques, everyone is friend's with everyone. It's so nice to hear that. Seti is in 4th grade and he has Ms. Woosley & Mrs. Marshall. They both enjoyed their 1st day. Seti made fudge. His homework was to discuss his 1st day of school with me. I had to return in writing that we did for Bronco bucks for a store they have in their school. I prayed they would transition well to this school and they have. Whew!!! My neighbors and ward members love this school and there's a lot of parent participation too. We're happy to be in this area and everything is going smoothly. Yay!!!!

Karoake time!!!!

I LOVE to KARAOKE!!! I am not by all means a good singer. I just love to go and sing. My cousin Rita got me started, so Nica and Rita are my long time Karaoke buddies. The birthday party was Friday and so Saturday, some cousins and I went to Batter's up and sang it up!!! lol. It was sooooo fun and I missed it. The Karaoke DJ even gave me a free CD with most of us singing, too funny!!!! My favorite song I sang was "The Tide is High" by Blondie, I dedicated to my cousins. Hee...heee...heee

We are Family...I got all my cousins and ME!!!!

That song popped into my head just thinking about this past weekend. We just got back and I had a blast!!! It's nice to be with family. We went to the park when we got in, Kolei made us t-shirts in memory of mom it was nice. We all wore it and we ate barbeque and I was catchin' up and gossiping with everyone, literally!!! It was good to see the Aunts and Uncles with their kids & Uncle Sonasi was there too, he hasn't been feeling too well. The surprise party for Uncle Sione turned out great and it was the highlight of the weekend. We bonded, ate, danced and enjoyed each other's company!!!

Dad came into town for Tori's Birthday! My kids came home and we were all together. I love those moments enjoying one another and bonding. We had Tori's birthday and I'll post those pixs when I get them from Nau. (No pressure Nau, lol) We forgot our camera. Anyways, Nau & Preston came for the birthday too. We went to breakfast with Papa. We went swimming at Sand Hollow with the cousins and then went to Durango's for dinner. Nau, I and the kids came home that night and started are books. The boys were playin' on the Wi'i and she sat on the couch reading Twilight and I sat on the loveseat reading Breaking Dawn. Too funny!!!! Sunday, Milika & Andy blessed their baby Mele Tiave Pikula Moeai. She's so cute!!!!! Then we went and ate with the family and came home vegged and watched Kung Fu movies.

Breaking Dawn

At the break of dawn, Saturday we went to the library and had a party!!!! We played games & had trivia on the series. We had donuts & juice!!! I was just waiting for the drawings, the last book, I won it!!!! Yay!!!
I finished the book today and I was so sad, it ended!!! I really enjoyed this series and loved the characters. Stephanie Meyer is an awesome and creative author. It was such a twist with Jacob imprinting with...I won't give it away, for Nau's sake. lol! Bella & Edward, aaaahhh such bliss. Well I was happy with the ending and now I can get back to normal, those books were so addicting and I just had to read it all to be satisfied. Whoever hasn't read it, you're missing out! I dare you too, you won't be disappointed!!!!! I can't wait for the movies!!!! Yay!!!!!

TEAM EDWARD

I finished eclipse this morning!!! Right in time for the anticipated new book that comes out tomorrow!!!! I'm so excited. I loved this book, it really gave you a personal look in some of the characters and their past. I loved the action in this one too. If Bella doesn't change in this next book.....I'll read until she does. lol!!!! Tonight their having a party for Breaking Dawn with a drawing for the new book. I'm gonna go check it out!!!! I thought maybe Jacob, yet my heart is with Edward he is so selfless. Poor Jacob, I hope he imprints with someone soon. Stephanie Meyer is such a good writer, one critic said,"...you'll be gnashing to read Breaking Dawn." Grrrrr.....!!!! lol.
